Seems like just yesterday I was teaching music at Lamar Elementary.  4th Grade General Music Specialist.  I even had a special choir that met in the mornings before school started.  I truly loved bringing the joy of music to young minds.  When my husband's jewelry business needed to hire an employee, I took a deep breath and decided to jump in and take the job.  That was 1994.  I've been lovin' the jewelry business ever since.  Didn't know what I was going to do or if I knew how to do it, but with lots of persistance and determination I began a new career.

The funny thing that now I'll have a young couple come in to buy their engagment ring and something will be familiar with one of them.  Then in a few moments I'll hear "Mrs. Fleck, you were my 4th grade music teacher". 

I'm so proud of those kids.  Some of them I'll never forget and I recognize them the minute they walk in the door.  Many I'll know as soon as their first name is spoken I can blurt out their last.  Wow, time has flown by!
